What a beautiful dog. I read the link and feel so much for you. They're the mirrors of our souls after all.

Congrats on the good news and given our zucchinis grow like triffyds in summer, i'll chalk up this recipe.

Best wishes.

Your comment on the firsts without Kali broke my heart - it’s just so hard losing our best friends. And then you had the absolute other extreme of your award for your book - fantastic and many congratulations!

Jo, my sincere condolences regarding your sweet dog. I recall seeing her often in photos on your posts. I'm sure you will feel her presence for quite some time. On to the good news - congratulations for having been selected as a finalist for the Ruby Award. Fingers crossed that you come out on top! Baking is always a good distraction and those scones look delicious. Have a great week. Suzanne

Hi Jo - life goes on even with terrible sadness, but that doesn't mean it feels the same or that Kali's little face won't be missed for a very long time in your house. She would have loved "helping" with those scones. xx Congrats again on the Ruby nomination - well deserved!
